Android 4.4.1 KitKat Update Now Rolling Out In Nexus 4, 5 and 7 LTE, Significantly Improves Camera Performance

When the Nexus 5 was released a couple of months ago equipped with the latest Android version, a lot of consumers, experts and bloggers have praised its seemingly perfect design and features. However, several days later a number of issues appeared such as the subpar camera performance. Now, Google has released a new Android 4.4.1 KitKat update to address these issues once and for all.

In a report by Android Authority, the new Android version will be available for download via OTA on some of the most recent Nexus devices. For now the list includes the fresh Nexus 5, last year's Nexus 4, and the refreshed Nexus 7 (2013) model.

In an interview with The Verge, Google's Director of Engineering for Android Dave Burke said that they have been working to improve the Nexus 5's camera since it was launched, and claimed that the 4.4.1 update will bring several improved features.

This includes faster autofocus times, improved speed of camera, and fixed motion blur, all of which were addressed by tweaking Android's firmware.

For Nexus 5, 4 and 7 (2013) owners who have already upgraded to Android 4.4.1 KitKat update, tell us what you think about the update.
