The anticipation of the return of Lakers star Kobe Bryant gets closer and closer as they visit their neighbors the Sacramento Kings.

Kobe who first announced to play on this game but moved to probably Sunday is looking on a quick recovery as he feels he can play really soon.

"Getting a rhythm under my legs, as far as stopping on a dime, raising up and shooting," he said. "And getting your game legs underneath you where you can shoot a jump shot comfortably."

Xavier Henry who scored a career-high 27 points on their last outing against the Blazers said that as they wait the return of Bryant, they still have what it takes to compete as they have more players who can contribute that they can still have what it takes to win and carry on without their star.

"We have guys down right now, but we can't do anything about that," said Henry. "The guys we do have can still give any team a run for its money."

The Kings who are now 4-12 coming from close games against the Clippers, Warriors and Thunder felt they needed to do more to hopefully close a game.

Guard Isaiah Thomas who averages 8.6 points in the fourth becoming the league-best in that area felt confident in contributing in their last game but failed to seal the win.

"I felt like I was passive in the first half and I wasn't really doing anything on offense," said Thomas. "When I got in at the end of the third and fourth I wanted to try to make a difference. I was in attack mode and my teammates kept feeding me."
Though failing to grab the “W”, coach Mike Malone was still impressed with what his team showed in their last game despite having their key player in DeMarcus Cousins.

"DeMarcus doesn't play tonight, (we're) playing against a team that's 12-3 (now 13-4), and odds have them one of the favorites to get to the Finals out of the West," Malone said. "And we play them tooth and nail, giving ourselves a chance to win. At some point we're going to pull these games out."
