Watch Yuna Kim New Short Program And Free Skate [VIDEOS]: Mao Asada In 1st Place After Day 1 Of 2013 Grand Prix Final!

The Yuna Kim, Mao Asada rivalry has reemerged now that Kim is debuting her new short program and free skate at the Golden Spin in Zagreb, and Asada is showing her Olympic champion contention at the 2013 Grand Prix Final.

Currently, Yuna Kim is preparing to debut her short program and free skate in Croatia at the Golden Spin competition. She missed the Grand Prix figure skating season due an injured metatarsal.

"I've been slowly working myself back to competitive shape," said Yuna Kim according to NBC.

"Honestly, I feel that I need to improve my conditioning for the Olympics, which is the most important competition there is, but there is still some time to do that."

Meanwhile, Mao Asada is staking her claim for the 2014 Sochi Olympic title at the 2013 Grand Prix Final, where she is currently in first place after the short program.

Asada is nearly four points ahead of the rest of the field, which include American national champion Ashley Wagner and Russia's young pack of skaters named Julia Lipnitskaia, Adelina Sotnikova, Anna Pogorilaya, and Elena Radionova.
