Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra says she will step down if that's the only way to end the current crisis that is paralyzing her country. The Thai Prime Minister recently said that the government is willing to negotiate with protesters. The current crisis in Thailand has been years in the making. The King of Thailand recently called for unity amid the protests.

Yingluck Shinawatra, Thailand's prime minister, says she is willing to hold a referendum if that's what it takes to end the political crisis paralyzing her country. Thai PM Yingluck Shinawatra says she will resign if the vote goes against her. But, she said she would call the election only if she believed that the protesters who want to see her thrown out will accepted the results of a vote.

Former Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Opposition Democratic Party leader, questioned the offer. He says his party's lawmakers would resign from parliament en masse effective immediately. Leaders of the opposition said they would not rest until Yingluck resigns and turns control over to an unelected council.

Recent protests have claimed the lives of at least four people. Many have been wounded in demonstrations that were triggered a few weeks ago when Thailand pushed an amnesty bill that would  let former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra come home and avoid a two-year jail term for corruption. Thailand's Senate rejected the bill. The protests have not stopped.
