Saints VS Panthers Live Stream: Watch Online Free Sunday Night Football - First Place Up For Grabs, Newton In Unwinnable Territory

Saints vs Panthers live stream: Watch online free Sunday Night Football 8:30 ET as first place in the AFC South is on the line between these rivals.

The 9-3 Saints vs 9-3 Panthers game is a battle between two teams tied, coming down the final stretch of the 2013 NFL regular season. This game will take place in the Mercedez Benz Super Dome for Sunday Night Football and they will meet again in two weeks in Carolina.

Watch the free live stream online for the first installment Sunday of this great matchup as the Saints look to bounce back from a blowout loss on Monday Night Football vs the Seattle Seahawks. Meanwhile, the Panthers look to stay as the hottest team in the NFL, winning eight games in a row.

It is going to be a tough battle for the league's top defense playing in New Orleans. The great Carolina defense will have to stop Drew Brees and an offense that averages 26 PPG and is 6-0 at home.

"There is no roof, no sky," Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy told ESPN.com. "We're going up. Every person on this team, every coach on this team has the same mentality right now. I feel like it's contagious. Fans are getting it. They feel like they can't be beat."

Panthers head coach Ron Rivera knows his team is in for a challenge in holding down New Orleans at home.

"There are a lot of things they're doing offensively that make you say, 'Wow,'" Rivera told the team's official website. "A lot of people thought last year that Jimmy Graham had an off-year, but now watching him he looks like he's in the form he was two years ago. Darren Sproles, I've got a bottle of Tums next to me because he is a heck of a football player. And Drew Brees is having a classic Drew Brees season."

Having some home games could be vital for the Saints as the winner of this could end up being the two seed in the NFC. That would mean a bye and at least one home playoff game. The team that doesn't win the division would get a wild card spot more than likely and play all their playoff games on the road, most likely. For Brees's sake, he might not want to go in the cold weather of Seattle where he threw for 147 passing yards, matching his career-low.

"The weather did not play a factor. The noise? It's loud, yes, it's tough to communicate ... but I felt like we did a good job communicating," Brees said. "We were prepared for that. We just got outplayed."
