Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks will be touring together this year.

Garth Brooks confirmed that his country star wife Trisha Yearwood will join him on his 2014 world tour. Rumors have been going around for a while that country superstar Garth Brooks and his wife would be touring together, but Brooks has sidestepped the question, preferring to say merely that that his kids' schooling came first.

Garth Brooks said in a November 2013 interview that "I would love to tour again for the first time ever without guilt from being away from either my spouse or my children."

Now that Garth Brooks and Tricia Yearwood's youngest daughter is set to graduate school in May 2014, Brooks says he will be beginning to work on his tour early in the New Year. Brooks says the 2014 tour should kick off sometime next fall.

Garth Brooks officially announced the tour to Robin Roberts this morning on ABC's "Good Morning America." Garth said that Trisha Yearwood and their three daughters gave him the okay.

Garth Brooks said "At first, I was worried it would be a wheelchair-and-walker tour kind of thing. Now it sure feels good to get to throw your hat back in the ring. Ms. Yearwood is fine with it. All my babies are fine with it. Now I get to do what I love to do, which is play music and get to be with the person I want to be with, which is Ms. Yearwood. Our baby is a senior in high school," he told Robin. "My children are off on their own, so the guilt of not being there ... I'm a phone-call dad now."

Garth expects to do full-band shows at Wynn Las Vegas on Jan. 3 and 4. He said "The full band will be back to the Wynn in January for two nights. He's let me keep that room as a laboratory type of thing, so I'm going to bring the band out there and let the band experience this room. We've had the solo residency where you're just out there with you and your guitar, and you depend on the people to kind of take care of you and they have my whole career and so Vegas was just a love fest."
