Victoria’s Secret Models Workout Revealed; Runway Trainers Spill Secret Regimens Of Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldrige, And Karlie Kloss

For those who are aspiring to have bodies like the supermodels in the Victoria's Secret 2013 fashion show, the Victoria's Secret models' trainers reveal how the likes of Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, Karlie Kloss, Erin Heatherton, and Lindsay Ellingson achieve their runway-worthy figures.

"Everybody thinks these girls are born with a gift. Maybe they're more beautiful than the average person, but that doesn't mean that their bodies don't start at a 4, 6 or 8," explains fitness mentor Justin Gelband.

According to him, the Victoria's Secret angels undergo grueling trainings to ensure that they have healthy physiques. A few weeks before the show, models are required to do Gelband's interval training six days per week. Such training mostly involves kickboxing.

Swanepoel, who modeled this year's priciest Fantasy Bra, relies on kickboxing and Pilates to accentuate her behind. Kloss is another supermodel who always aims to make her behind as fit as possible. Squats are not included in the routine but the models are required to do dozens of crunches.

On the other hand, Mary Helen Bowers, another fitness mentor of the girls, believe on a daintier approach. As a prima ballerina, Bowers came up with Ballet Beautiful sessions which assisted Ellinson and Aldrige in sculpting their figures.

According to Bowers, the workouts of the girls depend on the outfits that they will flaunt during the fashion show:  "We're tailoring their workouts at the very end based on what their outfits are. They're getting their final fittings those last two weeks, so we know how much you're seeing of their stomach and their butt and their legs versus how do they feel when they put the wings on. We're able to micro-sculpt those muscles."

Apart from looking good, the Victoria's Secret angels also need to develop strength. For this year's fashion show, some of the models wore winter-themed 3D outfits which involved heavy props.

"The wings are really heavy, and they're wearing like 6-inch heels and the runway's covered in glitter. Just walking down the runway is a workout in itself," adds Bowers.

For Heatheron, hours of physical training are fine since she wants to look her best for the much anticipated lingerie show: "You know you're going to be in your underwear on the runway. It's going to be more fun for me if I look the best I can."
