Miley Cyrus Named As MTV’s Best Artist Of The Year; ‘Wrecking Ball’ Singer Celebrates By Insuring Her Tongue For $1 Million?

Miley Cyrus has been recently hailed as MTV's 'Best Artist of the Year'. After her controversial performance during the MTV Video Music Awards a few months ago, the former Disney star proved that her tongue action added to her popularity.

According to reports, Miley Cyrus' tongue has been insured by the pop star for $1 million. The 'So Undercover' actress allegedly had the idea upon noticing her tongue's fame. In one of her recent interviews, she mentioned that she loved to stick out her tongue when having her photos taken because she thought such pose would be far from ordinary.

"Miley's  totally aware of how her tongue is getting more headlines than she is, and getting it insured is just part of her trademarked image," claims one insider to Heat.

Apart from Liam Hemsworth's ex-girlfriend, other celebrity insured body parts include Mariah Carey's behind for $1 billion, David Beckham's legs for $70 million, Jennifer Love Hewitt's breasts for $5 million and America Ferrera's smile for $10 million. Like Cyrus, Kiss bassist Gene Simmon's tongue is likewise insured for a million bucks.

Such type of insurances can be acquired from Lloyds of London, a firm which customizes insurance policies for people's most valuable physical assets. The cost will mainly depend on the body part's condition as well as the potential policy holder's occupation.

Supermodel Heidi Klum previously talked about her experience in having her legs insured for $2.2 million: "Basically, I was in London and I had to go to this place where they check out your legs. They would look at them and I had one scar here from when I fell on a glass, so this [left leg] isn't as pricey as this [right] one."
