Beyonce Drops New Album With 14 Songs And 17 Videos: 'Grown Woman' Makes The Cut, But 'Bow Down / I Been On' And 'Standing In The Sun' Excluded!

Beyonce, in a shocking endeavor, has released her self-titled new album without any prior announcements!

The new "visual" album, which contains 14 songs and 17 videos, features collaborations with Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, and Drake.

"I see music," said Beyonce regarding her new album. "It's more than just what I hear."

"When I'm connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they're all connected to the music."

Regarding her unexpected new album release, Beyonce said she wanted to get past the barriers and "to speak directly" to her fans.

"There's so much that gets between the music, the artist, and the fans. I felt like I didn't want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it's ready and from me to my fans."

On the new album, virtually all the songs are brand new and unheard, except for three exceptions, including "Heaven" and "Blue" featuring her son Blue Ivy.

In addition, the popular Pepsi single "Grown Woman" has been released as a music video!

Two songs that were conspicuously left off the roster include "Bow Down / I Been On" and "Standing in the Sun," both of which were previewed earlier in the year.
