One Direction Tour 2014: Harry Styles Not Starting Solo Career Next Year; ‘No Truth’ To Recent Rumors

One Direction's 2014 world tour kicks off next April, and rumors are circulating that Harry Styles is already thinking about starting his own solo career. However, these rumors have been debunked: a rep confirms that Harry Styles is focused on One Direction's 2014 world tour "Where We Are."

According to E! News, a recent article claimed that Harry Styles was preparing to start his solo career soon.

"Harry really wants to record his own stuff and put out in album now that this one is done. Trust me, he's going to do it," the source said.

One Direction's third studio album, "Midnight Memories," was officially released last month. The group's documentary "One Direction: This Is Us" is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on Dec. 17.

But Harry Styles' rep debunked these rumors, and told The Daily Mail that the reports are "complete nonsense, of course."

Additionally, the rep told E! News, "There is no truth to this, the sold out One Direction world tour kicks off in April."

The website notes that this isn't the first time rumors of Harry going solo have surfaced. In April of this year, reports claimed that Harry had written several of his own songs separately from his One Direction band mates, and was even recording solo songs for his own album.

"The boys are all working on the new 1D album together and sometimes sessions are recorded separately," the rep clarified at the time, explaining that there was "no truth" to the story.

Meanwhile, the One Direction "Where We Are" 2014 tour schedule in North America kicks off on August 1, 2014 in Toronto, and hits most major cities along the way before wrapping up in Miami, Florida on October 5th, 2014, BroadwayWorld.com reports. The tour will hit 21 cities.
