Cristiano Ronaldo, the world's highest paid soccer player, has recently launched his own social networking site dedicated for his "true fans."

Spanish football news portal Marca reported that the Real Madrid star and Portugal national football team member has introduced his own brand of social networking website called 'Viva Ronaldo.' This site, which will work like Facebook, lets Ronaldo fans connect and interact with each other, wherever they are in the globe.

Marca wrote:

"It is a unique experience that we are offering my fans from around the world," Ronaldo remarked, as well as promising to "actively" participate in the virtual community which will be officially launched on Sunday in Funchal, the city where the Real Madrid player was born."

Through this site, which is both a website and a mobile app, people can play Ronaldo games and become a member of the football star's PR Team by posting news and events from Twitter and Facebook about him. Fans can also get up close and personal with their idol as Ronaldo also bared that there will be contests wherein participants can win tickets to Ronaldo's live games, signed T-shirts, and other memorabilia.

Viva Ronaldo site is a great step for the iconic Portuguese footballer as he has the most followers and likes on Twitter (23 million) and Facebook (67 million).

Aside from own social networking site, you can also catch Ronaldo stuff in a museum he established to display all the trophies and other objects he garnered throughout his football career. The CR7 Museum, derived from his initials and jersey number, is located in his homeland in Madeira.

Sources said that the "initiative came from Cristiano Ronaldo and his mother [Dolores Santos] and it is Ronaldo himself who is to covering the costs of the museum."
