Winning the championship in any sport is the most beautiful thing that can happen to an athlete's life. But how can you celebrate that special day if back home, you find yourself losing everything your family has invested on.

Griffin High School quarterback Jaquez Parks had the biggest day of his life last Sunday, playing for the title against Trojans of Carrolton High School. His family and the whole town were there to witness his school bag the title. However, while they were shouting and jumping for joy for every touchdown, some unidentified men are ransacking Parks family's home.

"We won the game and it was just great and it was exciting. I was proud and happy for our team, our city and my son," said Jaquez' mother Cassandra Parks.

"We left the game and came home to tragedy. I've been in this house 18 years and I never had a break-in ever."

Turned out, it was a well-planned loot, according to Cassandra. She said that it is well known in their community that Jaquez will play in a big game and most of the people near their home would be away watching the Bears football team bring home the championship trophy.

Police said that the quarterback lost his iPad, a XBox 360 and game, a laptop, a computer, two flat-screen televisions and $200 among other things. Looters also took away Jaquez's books.

"I purchased stuff on Black Friday for Christmas. They stole all of that. The little stuff I had purchased for him, they took that. I have to start over," the mother said in anguish.

"He's a child. He may be a star football player but he's a child, my child -- and to take all of his stuff ... what has he done to you."

As a 'consolation' for the young champion, the Griffin High School Touchdown Club put up a fund raiser event to help the family replace what they've lost from the thieves.
