Lil Wayne Death Hoax Went Viral; Rapper Says He’s Alive But Talks About His Near-Death Experience As An Epileptic

Lil Wayne is dead. Such is the official claim of reports circulating online for the past few days. Many Internet users specifically his fans were surprised with the devastating news. Rather than immediately believing the claim, fans opted to investigate which later proved that the rapper was a mere victim of celebrity fake deaths. It isn't the first time when a Lil Wayne death hoax took place.

The death of Lil Wayne started with a suspicious video on Facebook which surfaced last Monday. The video, with the description "RIP Rapper Lil Wayne Found Dead", allegedly shows details of Lil Wayne's death and can only be viewed when shared publicly.

According to Inquistr, users should be careful because such type of videos can either spread viruses or obtain the personal information of users. The publication similarly emphasized that it isn't the first time Lil Wayne has been the victim of celebrity death hoax: "The rapper has been the center of a number of other fake death reports, including one in the spring of this year and again in the summer."

Earlier this year, Lil Wayne allegedly died after suffering from injuries caused by a jet ski accident. Another version of his fake death report mentioned that he died because of seizures.

While Lil Wayne is certainly alive, the performer did not deny about his near-death experience because of seizures: "The thing is, man, the bad news is, I'm an epileptic, so I'm prone to seizures. This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures; y'all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I got three of 'em in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent."

"Basically, I could've died soon. That's why it was so serious. The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That's typical me, though," explained Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne recently collaborated with Chris Brown and French Montana Bailey Renee for a single called 'Loyal'.
