Girls’ Generation Sooyoung and Super Junior’s Siwon Chosen as Ambassadors for UNICEF’s Santa Campaign

Girls' Generation member Sooyoung and Super Junior's Siwon were publicly appointed as the face of Korea's UNICEF Santa Campaign.

A Korean UNICEF Committee member stated on the 17th, "Sooyoung is always participating in various volunteer activities, and Siwon has participated in UNICEF activities for the past 2 years. Since they fit the Santa image by their helping little children, we appointed them as ambassadors for this UNICEF campaign."

Rumor has it that despite being busy with their activities abroad, the two went back to Korea in order to film a promotion video for the Santa campaign. They arrived at Incheon International Airport in Korea the morning of the filming, and went straight to the set where they were scheduled to film.

Sooyoung said, "Although I'm busy with my activities, I was happy to be able to use my talents for an important cause. I was able to participate in this work very joyfully because I'm able to pass on the love I received to these children. I'm sure everyone's busy during this holiday season, but my hope is that you can share a little bit of what you have as a Santa that can deliver great hope to these children."

Siwon said, "Every time I work with UNICEF, I feel a sense of responsibility and duty when I resume my activities. I ask that you please participate in the Santa campaign, and that you'll be a Santa that offers help to these children that desperately need your help."

UNICEF is holding their 'UNICEF Santa Campaign' to support those children who are in need. You can read about these children through UNICEF's website, and can participate by becoming a sponsor and delivering hope for these children."
