World's Top Soccer Stars To Play Together To Save Earth From Alien Domination; Players Include 1st Time Teammate Messi And Ronaldo

On June 2014, the world's top soccer teams will gather in Brazil for the FIFA World Cup. Thirty two teams will be battle each other to become the world's best football nation.

But before that prestigious event, football players have a much more important mission, not just for their country but for the whole globe.

Elite players from different countries will unite to fight aliens and save the world. Yup, you read it right. However, there are no real aliens. This mission is just a part of Samsung's multi-platform marketing campaign that will feature across Samsung Galaxy devices, online platforms and social media channels.

The company, with the help of Franz Beckenbauer, toured the world to recruit several elite football players. In a Samsung statement, it said that the 11 players will figure against space creatures in a "winner takes all" match on a virtual football pitch. Each player starred in a YouTube video in different scenarios wherein they were approached by some men and are briefed about the mission.

Of course, there are no aliens, and if ever they are true and they arrive here on earth, they will not challenge us on football. The commercials only receive a lot of buzz because of its great graphics and of course, big names. But if ever aliens know a thing or two about football and think they can beat us on the game, it is nice to have the world's best footballers connive to throw those aliens away.

The main XI, who will be managed by Germany World Cup-winning legend Franz Beckenbauer, is composed of:

Lionel Messi (Argentina; captain), Mario Götze (Germany), Oscar dos Santos (Brazil), Wu Lei (China), Stephan El Shaarawy (Italy), Victor Moses (Nigeria), Radamel Falcao (Colombia), Lee Chung-Yong (South Korea), Iker Casillas (Spain), Wayne Rooney (England), Landon Donovan (United States), Aleksandr Kerzhakov (Russia), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
