First Korean American Winner Heejun Han Eliminated From 'American Idol'

Korean American Heejun Han has been voted off ‘American Idol’ on Thursday.

Heejun Han garnerd attention as he made it in the top 10 of American Idol Season 11 as Kpop sensation has been receiving worldwide attention.

Wednesday episode of ‘American Idol’ captured the top 9 finalist’s performances singing the songs of their idols. Heejun Han performed Donny Hathaway’s ‘A Song for You’ passionately. However the judges decided to let him go.

Steven Tyler said, “Let the record show that you knew this was coming yourself, you saw it come this week. Unfortunately after talking, we’re gonna have to let you go, man.”

Tyler harshly criticized Heejun Han last week as well. Last week after Heejun Han’s performance he shared, “At some point you gotta try and take it more serious.”

However he nearly missed being eliminated and entered the top 9. However he once again ended up at the bottom of America’s votes and unfortunately was eliminated which brought sadness to his fans.

With Heejun’s Han elimination there are now eight contestants remaining DeAndre Brackensick, Hollie Cavanagh, Colton Dixon, Skylar Laine, Joshua Ledet, Philip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, and Elise Testone.
