Guardians Of The Galaxy Movie Cast Bradley Cooper Almost Switch Roles With Christian Bale To Play Batman In ‘Dark Knight’ While Filming ‘American Hustle’

Guardians of the Galaxy movie cast Bradley Cooper teams up with "The Dark Knight" star Christian Bale on a blockbuster film "American Hustle."

David O. Russell's "American Hustle" is one of the most high-acclaimed films for the year, where cast went to great lengths to create the film.

Christian Bale was forced to gain 50 pounds to take on his role, while Bradley Cooper almost had to switch roles with him to play Batman in Bale's movie "The Dark Knight" as revealed by Cooper when he spoke with MTV.

"Christian was gonna do it, then he couldn't do it, so I was gonna swap over and play Irving, and Jeremy [Renner] was gonna play the FBI agent, and then Christian came back available and we slid back."

Meanwhile, Cooper is also busy filming Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, which is due on 2014. This time though, he will not showcase his incredibly handsome looking face as he stays  behind the scene to lend his voice to the movie's character Rocket Raccoon. During his interview with MTV the dashing debonair also talked about how it is working with director James Gunn, saying:

"It's been great. The great thing about [Gunn] is that I tried to set the ground rules early. I said, 'Look, you don't have to sugar-coat anything. Just tell me exactly what you want,' I think he was basically going like, 'Did you think I would do anything else?' "

The 38-year old American actor also admitted that he was "blown away" by his co-actor Chris Pratt's acting in the movie, during his interview with Collider as he promotes his movie "American Hustle."

"Chris Pratt is unbelievable, and Zoe Saldana was great - she's always great - but Chris Pratt just blew me away, he's the perfect guy."

He also admits to not being familiar with his role, but director James Gunn was the key to taking on the part.

"I like James [Gunn, the director] a lot, and it was really about him. I wasn't familiar with the comic at all but then I really loved it and I love that character too, he's incredible.

"One thing we debated was he's seen as having a cocky accent sometimes we talked about whether we'd do that or do this sort of, other guy from the city."

Guardians of the Galaxy movie is due to hit theaters on Aug. 1, 2014.
