Semen In Bottled-Water? Deli Owner Faces Raps For Serving Water Containing His Own Sperm

When you go to a restaurant, you'll will very comfortable if the service being given to you seems personalized. However, in Australia, a deli went too far with their services as a female customer discovered that the water she ordered contained semen. The sperm was later found out to be of the restaurant owner's.

On December 20, Alicia Cooper from Perth came out to the media to tell about her shameful story because the incident had made her life miserable. Curiously, the incident happened three years ago and the owner identified as Dahn Le has already sold his business.

"Instantly I knew something was not right, I just knew," Cooper said. "I thought 'oh my gosh, there's something wrong with my water.'"

The owner was proven guilty of the accusations as tests revealed that his DNA matched the sample taken from the bottled water. Based on the documents filed before the court, Dahn Le had intentionally placed his semen in the bottled water. No criminal charges were filed at that time.

In her writ filed at the District Court of Western Australia, Cooper said that since the incident, she always feel "ashamed", "shattered" and "struggling" with her life. She also shared that she has been suffering from a wide range of physical and psychological conditions, especially a "pre-occupation" with the safety of water in bottles.

"I can't even make decisions on what to eat. It's really affected me so much," she said.

"You don't think anything like this would happen to you? It was just so hurtful. It's been so humiliating."

The raps were filed by Slater and Gordon, the law firm handling Ms Cooper's case. Lawyer Jacinta O'Connor said the victim is seeking damages for economic loss, medical expenses and compensation for symptoms and stress since the day she found out what was wrong with the water.
