It's been a very emotional weekend over at the 2013 Japanese Figure Skating Championships, and after a strong competition, the Japanese team has been named with Daisuke Takahashi and Mao Asada returning to the Olympics!

Two of the biggest surprises of the evening has to do with iconic Japanese figure skaters Daisuke Takahashi and reigning Olympic silver medalist Mao Asada.

While Daisuke underperformed and placed 5th overall at the Japanese National Championships, he was named to the Olympic team along with Yuzuru Hanyu and Tatsuki Machida.

Listen to the crowd roar as his name was announced to the Japan Nation Team for the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Meanwhile, Mao Asada surprised everyone by placing 3rd overall behind Akiko Suzuki and Kanako Murakami.
