Beyonce’s Music Video For ‘Yonce’ Inspired By George Michael’s ‘Freedom’? Sexy Video Features Victoria’s Secret Models!

The debut of Beyoncé Knowles music video "Yonce" had some fans wondering: doesn't it look familiar?

The latest sexy video from the "Single Ladies" singer features models of Victoria's Secret such as Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn dancing and grinding in various skimpy outfits. All the scenes were shot in Brooklyn this past summer.

The models also proceeded to get up on Beyonce, caressing and fondling her breasts. At one point, one of the models (Smalls) licked the top of the breast of the Grammy winner.

The music video drew comparison to the "Freedom" music video of George Michael released in the 1990s, which also featured supermodels like Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington who were half naked and seen dancing provocatively.

Released by Columbia Records in 1990, Freedom was written, sung and produced byby George Michael as the third single from the album "Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1." It peaked at No. 8 at the US Billboards chart.

George Michael also performed the song during the 2012 London Olympics.

To her credit, Beyonce is not running away from the comparisons and in fact, according to video director Ricky Saiz in an interview with New York Magazine, she was taking inspiration from the Freedom video.

"We wanted to do something more contemporary and a bit more street and, of course, use iconic black women. Beyoncé wanted to push that angle - that was her request and concept initially," he said.

"All the girls are friends and it was so friendly and there was no ego on set. Everyone was so happy to be there," he added.

As for the controversial lick, he explained: "We were going through takes and it was her and Joan and they were close. And Joan went for the lick and we got it."
