Pacquiao – Mayweather Fight On September 2014! UPDATE: Pacman Manager Denies Rumors! Is It Real Or Just A Hoax?

If boxing fans had three wishes, it would be a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather trilogy! The question remains unanswered, but will we find out on September 2014?

Numerous reports from various sites have stated that both sides have agreed to fight each other in September of this year, after their respective fights that were previously scheduled: April for Manny Pacquiao and May for Mayweather. However, there are no opponents signed for those two fights.

The Latino Post first reported the fight, quoting a commentary from 78 Sports TV in their Youtube Channel.

"Everything else that you will see will be just theatrics from here on out. But the fight is already done." - the comment from the video. This is in reference to the current 'social media' war being waged by the two sides. Mayweather started it by sending out a "Christmas Card" which mocked Pacquiao. The Filipino boxing legend stated that he was not reacting to the potshots, but is grateful that Floyd "remembers him."

The unnamed commentator from 78 Sports reiterated that his source for this report was the same one who tipped him on Mayweather-Guerrero and Mayweather-Alvarez, both of which turned out to be true.

More sites have picked up the news, including Yahoo UK. It eventually reached Philippine shores, and the site from nationwide publication Philippine Star also reported it.

But Mike Koncz, the adviser to Manny Pacquiao, has denied these rumors. In a statement that he shared with Yahoo Philippines, when asked whether he was the source of the rumors: "It's not me, my friend."

He added: "..please do not believe everything that you read (about a Mayweaher fight) unless it comes from Manny or me."

Both fighters are struggling to find opponents. Pacquiao's side has proposed another chapter to his rivalry with Juan Manuel Marquez, but the latter has refused. Mayweather, on the other hand, was rumored to take on Amir Khan, but has dropped the proposal due to poor initial feedback on Showtime Pay per View.

On the other hand, both fighters and all their advisers are well aware that a bout between the two of them will break all existing records.

While the fight is not yet confirmed as of now, it is a safe bet that this will be the fight of the year, or even the decade, perhaps the single sporting event to end all sports events this year.
