The prank video showed Chrissy Teigen as she struggled, fought, and cried out for help at the hands of her singer husband. Chrissy Teigen's Instagram followers thought it didn't look like a joke.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend put a prank video on Instagram that shocked their fans. The Christmas video showed John Legend choking Chrissy while she tried to give holiday greetings. The joke video pulled a lot of concerned comments so Teigen quickly deleted it from Instagram.

Chrissy was in the middle of wishing her adoring fans Merry Christmas when John Legend grabbed her by the throat started to choke her. Teigen looked genuinely distressed and called on her fans for help. Chrissy and Legend then pretended to fight on camera.

Teigen's fans saw it as mocking domestic abuse and commented that it was offensive so Chrissy took it down. Teigen's choking Instagram was seen by over 300,000 people. Teigen hasn't explained why she pulled the video.

The Sports Illustrated model got flak for posting a "Raspberry Vagina" video a few months back where Teigen gave a Bronx cheer into the nether regions of a hot blonde. 

The Daily Mail reported that Chrissy Teigen posted the video to her Instagram account on Christmas Day.

Legend and Teigen got married in September in a small ceremony in Lake Como, Italy in front of guests which included Kanye West and Brooklyn Decker, who was the maid of honor. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend started dating in 2007.

The Grammy winner and the supermodel got engaged in 2011 .
