Beyonce Tour 2014: Queen Bee Ready To Take On 2014 And Ready For A New Release, Saying She ‘Recorded 80 Songs For New Album’

Beyonce Tour 2014: Getting ready for the New Year, Beyonce is greeted by 2014 with controversy as her new song for her new album 'XO' as it was believed to offend some people wherein the song sampled a short audio clip of the tragic accident of the explosion of a space shuttle called Challenger.

Part of the song can be heard the words: "flight controllers here looking very carefully at the situation. Obviously a major malfunction," taken from the CNN broadcast were the Challenger lifted off before the explosion occurred.

Clayton Andersen and widow of the astronaut inside the space shuttle June Scobee Rodgers and even NASA reacted to what they heard on the latest song of the singer. Astronauts and relatives of the people inside Challenger reacted to the 'offensive' sound clip that bothered them saying:

"We were disappointed to learn that an audio clip from the day we lost our heroic Challenger crew was used in the song 'XO'. The moment included in this song is an emotionally difficult one for the Challenger families, colleagues and friends," 

In her defense, Beyonce reacted in response to those who felt offended by her song that clip featured in her new song is to commemorate the Challenger crew saying:

"My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster. The song 'XO' was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you. The songwriters included the audio in tribute to the unselfish work of the Challenger crew with hope that they will never be forgotten."

Queen Bee's new album was a surprise release two weeks ago where she released her new record announced and even claiming to have recorded over 80 songs and hand picked songs that she would put on her surprise record.

"When I started picking the songs that I gravitated towards - because I recorded about 80 songs - it was the songs that were more effortless for me that stuck around," she said on a Rolling Stone interview.

Beyonce is set for a European Tour which will start on February 20th where she would start in Glasgow, UK and will go around Europe until she reaches the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal on Mar. 27.
