Brother-sister pop duo Akdong Musician have revealed plans to officially debut at the end of February.

On January 7, YG Entertainment announced that Akdong Musician will be holding their debut stage during a broadcast of "K-Pop Star 3."

The pair rose to fame as contestants on the second season of the hit singing competition reality show K-Pop Star, and upon being named as the program's ultimate winners, decided to sign to record label YG Entertainment.

At almost nine months since their win, Akdong Musician are busy preparing for their upcoming debut and many fans of the teenage sibling singers are anxiously awaiting what sort of original hits the pair have come up with.

Even as contestants on TV, 17-year-old Lee Chan Hyuk and his 14-year-old sister Lee Soo Hyun saw several of their self-composed tunes rise up the music charts and their clever rearrangements of popular songs helped them stand out from the other contestants helping them solidify their win.

It only seems fitting, then, that the two would choose to officially kick off their music careers in the very same place that gave them their start.

The special live stage performance on K-Pop Star 3 is the perfect avenue for Akdong to showcase their uniquely creative brand of pop, and a way to give back to the dedicated fans of the show who helped them rise to the top.

The planned debut stage is expected to draw a large viewing audience eager to officially initiate the young stars into the music industry, from reality television onward.
