Foo Fighters Tour 2014: Dave Grohl Looks Forward For The New Year With Their New Album And Tour, Says New Album 'Is Going To Be F---ing Rad'

Foo Fighters Tour 2014 kicks off early as the rock and roll band returns from a four-month hiatus to play two legs of shows in Mexico.

The band played two shows in Mexico City, Mexico in Foro Sol and played December 11 and 13. After releasing Wasting Light in 2012, which was a huge hit going on top of the charts in different countries all over the world including a number one spot at the US Billboard 200, band front man Dave Grohl said, "I'm not sure when the Foo Fighters are going to play again. It feels strange to say that, but it's a good thing for all of us to go away for a while."

Coming back from that break, before the Mexico show, Dave Grohl announced that they will be recording new materials come 2014 and hints of a new album next year as well.

"It was a very short hiatus," Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett said. "We're going to start recording the new Foo Fighter record at the beginning of next year."

Drummer Taylor Hawkins told Billboard that he felt the band still hadn't written its "Hotel California" or "Bohemian Rhapsody." "You always want every one of them to be the best one you've ever done, and you always think you haven't done your best one," he admitted.

In an interview of the band in Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl pointed out that the new album of the Foo Fighters would be something different that would surely surprise fans.

"It's badass. We're doing something that nobody knows about, it's f---ing rad. We begin recording soon, but we're doing it in a way that no one's done before and we're writing the album in a way that I don't think has been done before."

"We actually just started making a new Foo Fighters record within the last few weeks. We've started rehearsing."
