Anderson Silva Injury Update: Fallen UFC Fighter Posts Leg Photo Without A Cast, Eyes Georges St-Pierre For Come Back Fight

It has been more than two weeks since Anderson Silva suffered a freak injury during rematch vs Weidman. He broke his leg trying to send a kick on the upper body of his opponent. Fortunately, it wasn't that dangerous and his highly celebrated career doesn't have to end that way. The Spider is on track when it comes to his recovery, proof of that is a photo of him wearing no cast.

On Friday, Ultimate Fight Championship's official Instagram account posted a picture of the Brazilian southpaw fighter after UFC executives Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White visited him at his house in Redondo Beach, California. The photo comes with an uplifting message. It says:

White said that if the rehabilitation goes according to plan, Silva might be able to step on the octagon again in six or seven months.

While the 38-year old fighter is busy with his recovery, his managers are already cooking a mega fight for him. One name that they are trying to woo is George St. Pierre. In an interview with MMA Junkie, Ed Soares and Jorge Guimaraes expressed their desire to have this long-awaited match up get the green light. Even the UFC president believed that Silva and GSP should have met last year. Back then, Silva doesn't give a damn about GSP, he even called it bull****.

Don't you think that's an option?" Guimaraes told MMAjunkie when asked about a Silva vs. GSP matchup ... "Man, if we were able to pull something like that off, it would be a win-win for everybody: the fans, the UFC," Soares said in a separate interview. "I think that would be awesome."

Even though they are excited about the prospects of having the two marquee MMA fighters slugging it out on the octagon, the managers still think that the priority should be Silva's health.

"He's walking around on crutches and raising his leg, and he's just getting ready to start physical therapy when the doctor allows him," Guimaraes said.

"He's already moving his toes. I feel that positive vibe on him, and that's what makes me believe he's going to come back even stronger."
