Final Fantasy VI Android version is now available.

Square Enix has released another Final Fantasy game for mobile devices. Final Fantasy VI for Android is now available on Google Play. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy VI iOS version release date has not been announced yet, according to a post from IGN.

However, as posted on TouchArcade, Final Fantasy VI iOS version may come out anytime soon as it was earlier expected that both the Android and iOS would arrive on January 15. Another speculation about the release of the Final Fantasy iOS version is that iPhone users may have to wait for another week or so before they can play the game on their Apple devices. The post on TouchArcade reads:

Another theory is that since Google doesn't have any kind of approval process, FF6 was submitted to both Google Play and the App Store yesterday. It then appeared on Google Play instantly, while it needs to wait to filter through the App Store approval process. If that's the case, it may be another week or two before we're playing it on our iPhones.

As described by the Square Enix Director, Takashi Tokia, as cited on App Advice, Final Fantasy VI for iOS and Android devices is "basically like a remake of the original VI. But there have been some enhancements. The battle systems have been altered for the other [mobile remakes] for Final Fantasy and VI will be the same. For instance grinding was an issue and people had to spend a lot of time leveling up. Now on the mobile devices the battle systems have been adjusted so you don't have to fight as much and can enjoy the game for what it is."

Final Fantasy VI for iOS and Android was officially announced on October 2013. Gamers who are interested to get Final Fantasy VI can download the game via Google Play store for $15.99.
