Manchester City will face off against rival Cardiff City on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Manchester City, coming out of a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Manchester City Manager Manuel Pellegrini said rumors linking his team with Southampton's Luke Shaw are false, The Mirror reports.

"During the whole of January we will see what happens, all the clubs can do transfers, but I am not interested in one name especially. I don't say nothing about it," he said, according to the site.

"I don't confirm about any names because we are not concerned about that in this moment. We are just thinking about Cardiff and not the winter transfer window."

Cardiff City, coming out of a 2-0 loss to West Ham United, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Cardiff City Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær said he is prepared for more transfer action after securing former Manchester United FC duo, Wales Online reports.

"He's a joy to watch," Solskjaer said, according to the site.

"He did really well in the Under-18s at United, fantastic for me when I brought him to Molde and outstanding on his debut for Norway against Denmark."
