Congratulations to SHINee. They have many reasons to celebrate the new year, this week in particular as their winning streak continues.

SHINee wins three awards from the 28th Golden Disk, more proof that they have a bright future in the industry to look forward to, not that that wasn't the case already. There also performed their songs Dream Girl and Everybody during the award show, and uploaded pictures from backstage.

The members are also going to be in variety shows this year so the fans are rather excited to watch more of them. SBS confirmed on the 13th that Onew had been added to the cast members of the Borneo edition of Laws of the Jungle. Other cast members include ”Kim Byung Man, Lim Won Hee, as well as actors Bong Tae Kyu, Lee Young Ah, Seo Ha Joon, SHINee's Onew, ZE:A's Dongjun, and comedian Hwang Hyun Hee, have formed the new members of the tribe for the ‘Laws of the Jungle in Borneo’ edition.”

Meanwhile, Jonghyun is heading over the KBS to take part in the pilot of the special Lunar New Year Music Show. SM Entertainment confirmed Jonghyun's official joining of the variety show, alongside reps from the program stating ”Jonghyun will join ‘Music Show’ as the maknae member. Filming will begin next week.” SM agreed, ”We created the MC line up with the theme of musicians’ gathering. Yoon Jong Shin, Lee Juk, and Yoo Hee Yeol are already well known, and Yoo Se Yoon, despite being a comedian originally is known for his love for music, so they were chosen. In addition, although Jonghyun may be a member of idol group SHINee, he has been recognized as a singer-songwriter with his own works, so he has also been chosen.”

In addition to the awards that the boys have already bagged, SHINee has once again been nominated for a couple of categories for the 3rd Gaon Chart Kpop Awards! Fans are also granted the liberty of voting for the boys for the Popularity Award. The improvement that the group has shown as well as the songs that they have released in 2013 have been some of the most successful releases, thereby granting them recognition by a number of award shows including this one.
