After School Celebrate 5th Anniversary With Special Video For Fans

When After School debuted on January 17, 2009, it was with a special concept in mind. The first K-Pop group to welcome the idea of a evolving line-up, After School features a 'graduation' method where old members are replaced by newer ones periodically.

Since their formation, After School has seen the departure of three members, but have only increased in fans as the new singers are welcomed by fans, known as Play Girlz or Play Boyz, with open arms.

And on Friday, the current roster of Jungah, Juyeon, Uee, Raina, Nana, Lizzy, E-Young, and Kaeun celebrated five wonderful years of After School.

To give back to their dedicated fans, After School released an anniversary video via their official Facebook page.

The celebratory clip features the members blowing kisses and waving to the camera with bright smiles and many thanks for the support over the past five years.

The Facebook post read, "AS 5th Anniversary. Thank You! PLAY GIRLZ!!"

Since 2009, After School has released two full-length studio albums, one in Korea and one in Japan, in addition to eight single albums and a total of thirteen singles.

Additionally, the group members have appeared on various original soundtracks and have made a total of twenty-three music videos.

They have also debuted three sub-units, After School Red and Blue in 2011 and the continuing side project of Orange Caramel, all of which have had successful music releases.

After School is currently preparing for their next Japanese comeback with a new studio album Dress To Kill due out in March.

Congratulations to After School on five great years in the biz!
