GTA 5 PC Release Date Leak? New Footage Of Rockstar Games Clip Prompts Answers From Developers

Leaked footage of Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version has surfaced on YouTube, leaving many gamers wondering if Rockstar Games will respond and make announcements regarding the game's release date.

However, Take-Two Interactive shut down the leaked video on copyright infringement grounds.

Although many rumors suggest the video may be fake, it certainly brings up the question of whether Rockstar Games will announce a release date for the game anytime soon.

Grand Theft Auto 5's PC release date is scheduled for March 12, Nuuvem Chief Executive Officer Thiago Diniz revealed.

He stated that his company received confirmation that the fifth main installment of the Grand Theft Auto series will launch on March 12, Examiner.com reports.

Grand Theft Auto 4's PC graphics mod rivaled the graphics seen in Grand Theft Auto 5's Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, Product Reviews reports, leaving many gamers wondering if a graphics update could be the reason for the game's release date delay.

"For now GTA V on PS4 and Xbox One would be amazing in terms of improvements with graphics, although the gameplay and graphics really stepped up a few notches with GTA V on PS3 and Xbox 360 already," the website writes.

"The fact that a lot of gamers sold their consoles to purchase an Xbox One or PS4 only adds to the need for GTA V on next-gen consoles, so expect a release at some point in the near future."

Amazon expects Rockstar Games to release Grand Theft Auto 5 in February, Examiner.com reports.

"Unfortunately we do not have an exact date for it to be in stock as of yet," an Amazon employee said, according to the site.

"You may think of to contact Rockstar for further information. We are expecting it next year by February, but no clear date is guaranteed for now."

Earlier reports mentioning another Amazon employee's predictions had Grand Theft Auto 5 slated for a March 12 release date.
