‘Avengers Age Of Ultron’ – ‘Hulk’ Movie In The Works? Mark Ruffalo Confirms Four More Films In His Contract; Solo Movie Will Have Environmental Theme?

The "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" will gather Earth's Mightiest Heroes again. Marvel President Kevin Feige promised more screen time for the characters without a franchise/solo movie. The Hulk is one of them-or maybe not anymore.

Kevin Feige brought up some interesting storylines from the Hulk comics, but translating them into the big screen is a another matter. However, judging by the fan reaction on Ruffalo's Hulk in the Avengers, Feige is more than intrigued. Speaking to MTV, he says: "Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in 'Avengers'? I do believe that. I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until 'Avengers 2. So there's a lot of time to think about it."

"Avengers Age of Ultron" is almost upon us, and according to Screenrant: "Ruffalo did sign a multi-picture deal with Marvel that lets the studio call upon him for another four appearances after The Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Mark Ruffalo was in the Sundance movie festival for "Infinitely Polar Bear," a movie that deals with the environment. He talked about how the popularity of superheroes can influence the audience in terms of caring for the environment. From Total Film:

"I think that's the way to go, and it's a trend that'll start to develop. As a culture, when we latch onto a fad, we're actually working something out in the creative subconscious. The fact that all these doomsday and end-of-times movies are coming out is because we're actually working that out in the culture."

"I'm in The Avengers, but if you took my screen time it would come to about ten minutes, along with the 12 other people I'm sharing the screen with, so my input's kind of limited on that. But if we get to a standalone Hulk movie, I'll have a much better chance to do that. I'm just learning now how to find my voice and bring it into the studio world."

That is a good vision for the future of the Hulk character, but in the meantime, we have the Hulk in the Avengers' sequel. MTV asked for some words about the recently distributed script:

"I would say that it's better, it's cooler, it's more awesomer. It's a little bit darker, but also really has Joss Whedon's incredibly, witty and sly sense of humor."

It's more of the same formula that brought $1.5 billion to the gates. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" opens May 1, 2015.
