Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: 4 Things We Think We Know About The HTC One 2 (M8) Flagship

HTC has been fairly quiet this month, but it may just living up its branding - quietly brilliant. In case you are looking for the latest upcoming HTC phones for 2014, then the only hope is the next generation flagship device One 2 (M8).

As the successor of the highly-rated HTC One which was released last year, the One 2 (M8) is almost official save for the actual announcement from the Taiwanese manufacturer.

In the past several months, here are some of the things which we think we know about the next high-end device from HTC:

1. It boasts a larger screen

Compared to the previous generation handset, the One 2 is said to get a bigger screen, though not by much.

2. It retains Full HD resolution

While some rumors in the past have been claiming a 2K display, a recent report says the handset would retain the Full HD resolution, which could possibly bring down its overall price.

3. It has a fingerprint sensor

It seems all new high-devices this year would not be complete without a fingerprint sensor. As Apple took the lead last year, Android OEMs would want to get the same amount of attention with the inclusion of such technology.

4. Dual UltraPixel sensors

While we still have no idea how this works, it is certainly a welcome addition to the already reputable set of specifications for the device.

These are just some of the things we have heard and read in stories over the past few months. Another interesting question is whether the new HTC flagship would have the same Beats branding the previous generation device had.

MWC is approaching and we may just find the confirmation and answers to our questions when that event comes.
