World War Z Sequel To Be Directed By ‘Impossible’ Director Juan Antonio Bayona Following The Feud Between Brad Pitt & Marc Forster

World War Z sequel is finally a go! With Paramount and Brad Pitt finding a new director for the second installment of the film, production team is ready for the casting call.

The Spanish filmmaker, Juan Antonio Bayona, who directed the disaster movie featuring the 2004 Asian tsunami starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, "The Impossible," is now ready to direct Brad Pitt as he returns to reprise his role in the surprisingly hit movie "World War Z."

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to confirm the news about the zombie apocalypse movie.

Brad Pitt and his company Plan B together with Paramount Pictures has struggled to bring "World War Z" to the big screen, as the Hollywood actor didn't see eye to eye with the previous director Marc Forster.

The zombie themed movie that was based on Max Brooks novel surprisingly became a summer box office hit, grossing $540 million worldwide, despite the numerous reshoots and complications it went through during the production.

With Juan Antonio Bayona replacing Marc Forster to take on the directing duties for the sequel of "World War Z," it is safe to assume that actor/producer Brad Pitt and his former director really had some disagreement along the way. This could very well confirm the news about the feud between the two.

According to his previous interview with ShockTillYouDrop.com, Forster already hinted that he will not be coming back to direct the upcoming World War Z sequel, saying,

"I like to explore different worlds," he explained. "If I haven't done a genre, I like to challenge myself."

With that said, Paramount seems ready to be moving on and start on fresh with the World War Z sequel. But, without having a writer to pen the script yet, it'll just have to wait. Although, Brad Pitt already has some ideas on how the story would pick up following the previous movie.

"We gotta get the script right first to determine if we go further," Pitt explained.

"We have so many ideas on the table from the time we spent developing this thing and figuring out how the zombie worlds work... We think we have a lot of stuff to mine from."

With the first film ending with Pitt saying, "This isn't the end," he says. "Not even close. Our war has just begun," after he heroically found a way to protect the humans from the zombies.
