Beyonce and Solange Knowles both donned stunning gowns for the birthday party of their mom, Tina, on January 11 at Muriel's Jackson Square Restaurant in New Orleans only showing that the flair for fashion certainly runs in the family.

Not to be outdone, Tina Knowles-all of 60 years old-was equally stunning in a slimming gown that befits the House of Deréon founder.

The sisters Beyonce and Solange Knowles threw the birthday party with the theme of masquerade ball.

The guests rode on horse-and-buggy carriages in keeping up with the theme. They were also told to wear their masks as they join the other revelers. The event reportedly cost $100,000, according to the report by Daily Mail.

According to Us Magazine, Beyonce was wearing a champagne-colored gown designed by Naeem Khan which "showed off plenty of cleavage." Her equally fashionable sister, Solange Knowles, was wearing a strapless yellow gown.

Beyonce again showed that she can rock any outfit when she wore a golden mini-dress with leather heels for Michelle Obama's 50th birthday party. The singer sang her hits "Single Ladies" and "Irreplaceable," said the Chicago Tribune.

Beyonce performed with other music greats like Stevie Wonder who sang "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" and "Do I Do," While John Legend gave his own rendition of happy birthday.

During her Falls Festival performance in Lorne Australia, NY Mag credited Solange Knowles for being fashionable and adopting a "safety first attitude when it comes to potential crotch shots."

"Solange wore a high-necked crop top and matching red culottes," the website started.

"The monochromatic look has a bit of a magic-trick effect: Standing up straight she could be wearing a turtlenecked dress that hits below the knee, then poof, she drops to the ground and ta-da, shorts!" it added.

Even if she's not as famous as sister Beyonce, Solange Knowles is carving quite a nice niche for herself not just in the music scene but also in fashion as well. She was named Puma's art director and creative consultant and will release her Brazilian-inspired line next month.
