Google Glass Apps 2014: AR Lens Gets A Sex Apps That Sees Everything, Developer Claims Its Built For Sex And Not Porn; No Comment From Google On Its Availability

Google Glass apps 2014: Glassware development is gaining momentum, especially this year when the AR lens is expected to be released to consumers. And in a turn of events that Mashable says is bound to happen, a new app called “Sex With Glass” lets partners share their point of view with each other to “experience sex like never before.”

According to Mashable, the idea for the app is that both parties will wear Glass during the encounter. “Sex With Glass” will send a live video stream to the other person’s display upon the command, “OK, Glass, it’s time.” It will allow them to see what their partner sees in real time. The stream stops when you say the words, “OK, Glass, pull out.”

The app’s website claims that it will also be able to dim room lights and play mood music as well and suggest new sexual position when you say the words, “OK, Glass, give me ideas.”

Developers of “Sex With Glass,” also said that they’re working on an accompanying iPhone app called Glance, which will allow users to switch the point of view to the iPhone camera to see the “whole picture.” Mashable notes that “Sex With Glass” will automatically create a video from the footage on all three devices that users can view later on. The footage, however, self-destructs after five hours, like Snapchat.

“Sex With Glass” appears to be destined and useful for a niche audience within a niche audience. The thing is, Google Glass, is yet to be made available for the public. Those who intend to access the app needs the lens, which is only available to a handpicked set of Glass Explorers for an entry-fee of $1,500. The app would require the couple to have a Glass each. The notion, however, of both partners wearing an awkward headset while having sex have very limited appeal.

The concern for privacy is also another issue. Google Glass aims to reduce the friction between capturing and sharing and it’s very possible to accidentally send a photo of video with the Glass to your networks. The app may not be available yet, but it’s showing that it could be hackable. “Sex With Glass” maybe the ultimate target for hackers with a peep show fetish, Mashable notes.

Though the app has been publicly announced, it’s unknown if Google will allow the device. Last year, the Glass manufacturer said banned an app called “Tits & Glass,” which was deemed the first Google Glass porn app. Company policy states that they “don’t allow Glassware content that contains nudity, graphic sex acts, or sexually explicit material.”

“Sex With Glass” developers though are optimistic on the possibilities of what their device has to offer.

“We’ve designed the app to be beautiful, minimalist and seamless,” says Sherif Maktabi, one of the developers involved in the project, told Mashable. “None of that is sexually explicit or pornographic. The iPhone app will not have the words ‘sex’ or ‘Google.’”

Google had no statement yet on what the fate of “Sex With Glass” would be.
