After winning two games in a row, the Phoenix Coyotes lost 4-2 vs the Maple Leafs Monday. Meanwhile, the Calgary Flames continue to lose games, only getting one point over the past four games. Calgary is 7-14-3 at home this season, putting the Flames in position to potentially have their first losing record at home in a decade.

"It's frustrating for our fans, for sure," forward Matt Stajan, who has two points in his last 18 games but signed a four-year deal worth $12.5 million Monday, told NHL.com. "Every year, we take pride in wearing this jersey, especially on home ice. We've always had success in this building. In this recent stretch, it hasn't been very pretty."

The Coyotes were once one of the better teams in the deep Western Conference. Right now, they are on the outside, looking in on the playoff-picture. Phoenix has allowed two power-play goals and has surrendered 10 in 10 games this month.

"There are little things that come back to haunt us off and on all year, and those continue to be areas of concern and areas we have to improve in," coach Dave Tippett told the Coyotes' official website.

Over the first three games of this season-series, the Coyotes took the first on in Phoenix by a score of 4-2. The Flames responded with a 4-1 victory in Calgary, but then lost on Jan. 7 in the desert. That game was a 6-0 shutout victory for the Coyotes, which has been a problem for the Flames. They haven't scored more than two goals in a game in over eight games.
