Brittany Murphy's father has been searching for the truth, but Thora Birch says she saw the condition Murphy was in and thought "that can't be good."

Thora Birch worked with Brittany Murphy on the 2009 film "Deadline," one of the last films Brittany made before she was found dead in her bathroom. The investigation into the cause of Murphy's death reopened at the request of Murphy's father. A toxicology report indicated that Murphy might have been poisoned. Thora Birch recently talked to the Guardian about the tragic death of Brittany Murphy.

Thora Birch said "I'd seen Brittany here and there before and thought she was cute and lovely and all that stuff. But when I worked with her I saw the condition and I thought, that can't be good."

Thora Birch starred in "Hocus Pocus" "Now and Then" and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in "American Beauty."

Amber Tamblyn, seen most recently on "Two and a Half Men," has been writing poetry "about women like Brittany Murphy, Dana Plato and Bridgette Andersen." Tamblyn says "I was really fascinated with Brittany Murphy's death and the subsequent treatment of that post-mortem, and how we, as a culture, mourn people, and the everyday struggle of women in any industry."

Brittany Murphy's father wants his daughter exhumed. He says the actress "was poisoned by government spooks in revenge for star's support of whistleblower." Brittany Murphy's father asks the LAPD to re-open the investigation. Today is the fourth anniversary of the death of Brittany Murphy.

Angelo Bertolotti, Brittany's father, told Access Hollywood "All we want is justice and we're not getting it at this point and that's what we want and that's what we're going to get."

Angelo Bertolotti, 87, claims that Brittany Murphy and her husband were poisoned because they supported a Department of Homeland Security whistleblower Julia Davis. The whistleblower claimed that low security let terrorists coming over the Mexican border into the U.S. Brittany Murphy's father says Julia Davis' supporters were spied on. Bertolotti and

Davis writing a book, Britt" and Davis will release a documentary called "The Terror Within" about the conspiracy charge.

Brittany Murphy died December 20, 2009. At the time, the Los Angeles County Coroner gave the cause of death as pneumonia. Brittany Murphy's husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, 40, died in the same house five months later in the same house.

Brittany Murphy's father ordered a new toxicology report that found ten heavy metals in the her system. The findings indicate that rat poison may have caused the Brittany Murphy's death. The legal action also names arsenic as a possible cause of death. Brittany Murphy's father had hair, blood and tissue samples tested by an independent laboratory.

Brittany Murphy's father claims that his daughter was under surveillance by government spies at the time of her death. Bertolotti says Brittany Murphy's phone was tapped and that after she made comments supporting the Department of Homeland Security whistleblower she was terrorized.

Investigative journalist Julia Davis said "There have been so many suspicious symptoms for both of them, identical symptoms that point towards poisoning, and definitely not pneumonia and anemia, because, I've never heard of anyone with pneumonia and anemia having severe abdominal cramps and vomiting before they died. There's a number of symptoms that just don't add up."

Officials say there is no evidence to support Brittany Murphy's father's claims.

The toxicology report says "If we were to eliminate the possibility of a simultaneous accidental heavy metals exposure to the sample donor then the only logical explanation would be an exposure to these metals (toxins) administered by a third party perpetrator with likely criminal intent."

Brittany displayed all symptoms of heavy metal poisoning at the time of her death. She experienced headaches, dizziness, abdominal cramps, coughing, sweating, disorientation, wheezing, congestion and pneumonia. Her husband exhibited similar symptoms before his death.

In a YouTube video Davis claims her supporters were followed by Blackhawk helicopters and wiretapped.

Bertolotti told Los Angeles-based Fleur De Lis Film Studios, "They were, in fact, under surveillance, including helicopters. Their telephones were wiretapped, Brittany was afraid to go home, because of the sneak-and-peek incursions into their residence and other terror tactics she suffered after speaking out in support of Julia Davis and being named as a witness in her lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security. Brittany was afraid to go home, because of the sneak-and-peek incursions into their residence and other terror tactics she suffered."
