Pacquiao Mayweather Fight - Pacman Fights Bradley In April; Mayweather Mum On Charity Dare; Is Money Making A New Meme?

The Pacquiao-Mayweather Fight has reached the silliest of deadlocks. To prove that he is not out for the money grab, Manny Pacquiao has challenged 'Money' Mayweather to fight for charity. No purse percentages, just two people in the ring slugging it out.

That must be a nightmare for the great Floyd Mayweather, Jr, -a fear bigger than his fear of getting his erstwhile undefeated record a blemish.

Manny Pacquiao has aired the challenge. In a phone conversation with the Inquirer (transcribed on their site, Inquirer.net):

"I'm not desperate to fight him just for the sake of money or material things. I'm not the one seeking this fight; rather it's the boxing fans all over the world. I am ready to submit myself to any kind of stringent drug testing. Above all, I challenge him to include in our fight contract that both of us will not receive anything out of this fight. We will donate all the proceeds from the fight-guaranteed prize, should there be any, gate receipts, pay-per-view and endorsements-to charities around the world."

He continues: "The public clamor for a Pacquiao-Mayweather bout is getting stronger. The only way he can avoid facing me in the ring is to retire from boxing. Floyd, if you're a real man, fight me. Let's do it for the love of boxing and for the fans. Let's do it not for the sake of money. Let's make the boxing fans happy."

There was still no response from the Mayweather camp at this time. Will he respond with a new Twitter/Instagram or Facebook meme?

Pacquiao has announced that he will fight Timothy Bradley in a rematch scheduled on April 12. Bradley has extended his deal with Top Rank as part of the deal covering the bout.

Bradley spoke with the LA Times: "I'm ready to get this fight camp started, but most of all I'm ready for redemption." While Bradley got the decision and the title against Manny Pacquiao, most of the boxing world thought Bradley did not deserve the win. This is why the 30-year old fighter from Coachella Valley wants to legitimize his title.

Bob Arum also shared a statement with the LA Times even though he was in New York: "Bradley is a much different fighter since their last meeting. The fight of the year, beating Marquez, he's going to be much tougher on Manny this time. Many felt he didn't win that first fight. Now, he wants to win without controversy."
