BTOB's Minhyuk took home many medals from this year MBC holiday special program "Idol Star Athletics," and was even chosen as the MVP.

Recently Minhyuk met with a reporter and shared behind the scenes stories about his appearance on MBC special program "Idol Star Athletics," how he won 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal, and became the MVP.

He said, "My friends call me a holiday star because they say I'm only in the spotlight during the holidays. Now that I'm going to be releasing a new album, I will be working hard not just during the holidays but other times as well." He continued, "After the show was broadcast, some of my friends who I haven't talked to it a long time got in touch. It was cool talking to them again."

Minhyuk's group BTOB debuted in 2012. The members have dashing good looks, a great singing voice, and outstanding dance skill.

Minhyuk appeared on the idol star athletics 3 times now, and showed off his skill in running, the high jump, and track and field.

This past special he reached a new record with his high jump and won the gold medal. He also received a medal for the 60m dash and futsal. He took the silver in the men and women 400m run. Finally, he was chosen as the MVP.

Minhyuk is said to really favor sports, even on his off time. To be sure, he is probably greatly burdened to do better than everyone else. According to the staff, many idols feel pressured to continue the good scores other idols have set before them. However, Minhyuk was different.

Minhyuk said, "To be honest during my first recording I didn't know what to do and just thought to myself I should at least make the finals. This time around it was my 3rd time on the show, but I must have gotten a little accustomed to it, because the burden wasn't as big. I thought to myself that I need to do well."

BTOB will be coming back on the 17th with "Beep Beep," a song produced by the popular Brave Brothers.
