It was 53 seconds into the game when Knight was able to get one by Raty, who went 41-0 at Minnesota and a two-time NCAA champion.

"I was like, 'All right, here it is. We're going to score here," said Knight, who lives in Sun Valley, Idaho, and played for the University of Wisconsin. "When you get a goal, especially in the first minute, it always deflates the other team."

Switzerland has yet to find the back of the net as they were shutout after Team USA's victory on Friday. Canada defeated them 5-0.

"It's the best result we've ever had against Canada," Swiss goalie Florence Schelling said after making 64 saves in a 5-0 loss to the three-time defending champions. "It shows we have improved."
