Ashley Wagner, McKayla Maroney Meme React To 2014 Sochi Olympics Opening Ceremony Fail [PHOTOS]: Will Julia Lipnitskaia Win Gold Over Yuna Kim And Mao Asada?
As the 2014 Sochi Olympics continues, Ashley Wagner has made a name for herself much like McKayla Maroney—with a meme.
It began during the first ever figure skating team event, where Ashley Wagner skated her short program for Team USA.
Despite performing relatively well, her score was much lower than she (clearly) anticipated, and the reaction has since gone viral as an Internet meme.

"To score that low was very disappointing for me," Wagner later told reporters according to E! Online. "But honestly, this was more about me and my performance and proving to everyone I belong here."
To anyone who watches the Olympics, this meme will automatically recall another facial reaction by US gymnast McKayla Maroney, who won the silver medal on vault and subsequently projected the face seen around the world.
Since then, the two have been compared side-by-side as the definitely Olympic meme faces.
Which meme do you think is more iconic? Ashley Wagner or McKayla Maroney's?
But now, all attention is on the individual figure skating medals where Ashley Wagner will compete against the likes of Mao Asada, Yuna Kim, and Julia Lipnitskaia.
