Niederreiter of the Wild will lead the way for the offense of the Swiss, along with Moser from the Preds and Brunner from the Devils. Where this team has a lot of help is in net with the Flames Reto Berra and the Ducks Jonas Hiller. He has allowed five goals total in his last three starts, while Hiller has become one of the better goalies in the NHL. With a 2.34 GAA, he's also only allowed five goals in his last three starts.

Josi is the youngest player on the team at age 23 and one of the stars at the Worlds (four goals, nine points in 10 games), expressed quiet confidence at what the Swiss hope to accomplish in Sochi, according to NHL.com.

"After the World Championships, our expectations at the Olympics are obviously a little bit higher," Josi said. "We're still underdogs and we are still a small team (compared to the favorites), but we are not going to Sochi just to play there. Our goal is to make it through the qualifiers and then take it game-by-game and day-by-day in the medal round."

Latvia is a team with not much NHL talent on it. Only one player and that is Buffalo's Zemgus Girgensons. He playfs for Ted Nolan there and at the Olympics with Latvia. He is the only NHL pro, but their goaltender is a prospect from Tampa Bay in Kristers Gudlevskis. They also have a former NHL verteran in Sandis Ozolinsh, who played 875 NHL games. Ozolinsh, who turns 42 in August, has spent the past five seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League and is thrilled to be back with the national team.

"It's not just being on the ice for the game," Ozolinsh said in the New York Times. "It's being off the ice, in the locker room, in practice. I'm really enjoying the whole process."
