GTA 5 PC Release Date Failure? Download Launch Delayed For Lack Of Consumer Demand Despite Petition

Take-Two Interactive chief executive officer Strauss Zelnick confirmed that his company will "absolutely" release GTA 5's PC version and on next-generation consoles if the consumer demand is deemed sufficient, Examiner.com reports.

"If that is where consumers are, absolutely [we'll release our game on that]. But we wouldn't drive them there, we would just be there if they are there," he said, according to the site.

"That is why we have a companion app for our basketball title, NBA 2K Everywhere. It is wherever consumers want to be. We are not in the hardware business, we don't have any dog in that hut, we just want to be where the consumer is."

Grand Theft Auto 5's PC release date version may support the ability to legally modify the game, Examiner.com also reports.

A listing for Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version was revealed by forum member 'Metalmarc' over on NeoGAF from Czech retail website SuperGamer.cz, Gamerant.com reports.

Nordic retailer Elgiganten claims Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version will be available for pre-order on January 31, leaving gamers wondering if the petition to create a computer version of the game worked.

A petition on change.org asking Rockstar Games to make an announcement release the game has surpassed 600,000 signatures.

Amazon stores in France and Germany have listed Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version as available, leaving many fans wondering if Rockstar Games will make an official announcement about the game's release date soon.

A leaked 150-page bug log for Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto V" allegedly shows more than 170 references to an upcoming PC version of the title, the International Business Times reports.
