NBA Trade Rumors: Kevin Love To Boston Celtics? West All Star Admits Boston Is A Great Basketball City! Celtics Owner Ready To Spend! Will Love Wear Green Next Year?

The NBA Trade Rumors are heating up! While Kevin Love going to the Lakers seems like a foregone conclusion, a new angle has developed. The Boston Celtics might grab the power forward while no one's looking.

In an interview with the Boston Globe, the former rebounding king of the NBA admitted that he has an eye out for Boston:

"I've never really spent much time in Boston. I don't know it too well. But I think as far as playing there, we love competing against those guys. I think they have a great coach and they have a ton of youngsters that are up-and-comers.

"Boston is a great city. I'm sure free agents would love to go there, especially with [Brad] Stevens as a coach. He's a guy that can win basketball games. He gets guys to play for him. They've been having good success there, even in his first year, and he has a lot of young players. The coach has a lot to do with it, but yeah, Boston is a great place."

That is true. Boston is in a better place than the Los Angeles Lakers. They have more assets to offer in a trade. They have an All-star point guard who is at his peak. And Love has already spoken about their young coach.

However, there is one thing that the Lakers have which the Celtics do not(No, not California weather, although that is true): Salary Cap Space.

The Lakers books are cleared in 2015, except for the last year of Kobe's extension. Love can choose his anyone from the 2015 Free Agent batch to be his running mate, and the Lakers can afford both of them to play with Kobe.

To that end, Boston also has an answer:

"League sources told CBSBostonSports.com that Boston's ownership group would be willing to pay the luxury tax this season if the right deal came along for the Celtics rebuild."

Even if Boston fails to shed its bad contracts, it would not matter, because they are willing to go over the tax line (something Minnesota or even OKC would not do).

The plot thickens in the Kevin Love saga.
