NBA Trade Rumors:Greg Monroe, Arron Afflalo To Exchange Teams? Shooter Would Compliment Pistons' Big Guys!

The NBA Trade Rumors are now filling up with GMs looking for players that could be better fits for their team. The Orlando Magic are on total rebuild mode and they will move almost all of their players for the right price. A scorer like Afflalo will flourish in Detroit.

Arron Afflalo was the best player that the Magic got from the Dwight Howard trade. He has since emerged as a borderline All-Star and is now the Orlando Magic's top trade chip. GM Rob Hennigan is thinking about him for the long-term, but he is ready to let him go for the right deal. His actual response from The Orlando Sentinel:

"We're exploring all options that may improve our team. But in terms of aggressively, actively trying to do something? I would say no [we're not]."

A report from Sporting News confirms interest on the Magic guard:

"The Bobcats have also expressed interest in Orlando guard Arron Afflalo going back almost two months now, and the possibility of absorbing his contract before Thursday's deadline is a consideration, too."

But the most intriguing situation for Afflalo is for him to transfer to a team which could maximize his skills. A team that needs backcourt scoring like the Detroit Pistons.

From the ESPN Trade Machine, a trade where Arron Afflalo goes to the Pistons and Greg Monroe and Rodney Stuckey's expiring contract will move to Orlando works out in terms of salary. The only problem is that Orlando may want some draft picks. Detroit feels like they have the better player (in the long run, yes) but Afflalo has a lot of value now.

If the Pistons really want to make a buzz in the playoffs, they need to pull this trade off. A steady shooter like Afflalo could make a big difference in terms of spacing and fluidity in the offense.
