Three Questions We Have About Girls’ Generation’s Comeback

Queen girl group Girls' Generation's new song "Mr.Mr" has been released, but their lively performance and costume concepts for their comeback have not been unveiled yet.

Girls' Generation had to delay their comeback because a portion of their music video data was damaged. They only revealed their new song on the 24th. Since fans have been waiting for a year for the girl group's comeback, there are many that are greatly interested in their new performance, music video, and costume attire.

When will they reveal their music video now that a portion of the data has been lost?

Initially Girls' Generation was supposed to come back on the 20th through cable channel Mnet's "M Countdown. They were planning to release their 4th mini album Mr.Mr on the 24th. However while editing the music video, the data was damaged, and had to postpone their comeback schedule. That's because to Girls' Generation their music video is almost as important as the song itself.

Girls' Generation's last music video was released last year, with their 4th album I Got a Boy. The music video won Video of the Year at the YouTube Music Awards, surpassing Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and One Direction. That's why there's even more attention focused on their upcoming music video.

However, as of now the new music video is still up in the air. An SM Entertainment rep stated on the 25th, "We're currently discussing when and how the music video will be released, and no details have been confirmed yet."

What kind of stage costume will they have for their 'mystery girl' concept?

The group's stage costumes have not been revealed, either. They've already revealed 'mystery girl' concept teaser images, which left a strong impression. Up till now, the girls have worn skinny jeans, uniforms, and marine look stage attire to go along with their performances. What kind of costumes will they wear on stage?

The teaser images show the girls in a mysterious, feminine, and powerful light. Jessica, Sunny, Hyoyeon, and Tiffany wore pink and red clothes. Yoona wore an asymmetrical black dress. Seohyun wore a school look mini black dress. Yuri went with an office look and lingerie mixed fashion look, showing off her charisma and sexiness. They also wore see-through and metallic accessories, and intense makeup to highlight the members' eyes and lips.

According to a rep, the girls will likely maintain their teaser images atmosphere with slightly different outfits.

What about their performance and choreography?

When we mention Girls' Generation, we can't forget about their choreography and lively performances. It's also been revealed that pop star choreographer Jillian Meyers did the choreography for their upcoming song, so there are even higher expectations for their dance. Jillian Meyers is responsible for great performances by Janet Jackson, Celine Dion, and Kylie Minogue.

Girls' Generation are expected to put on an outstanding performance to go with the R&B sound of the charming dance song "Mr.Mr," and to present an even more distinctive charm and choreography for this song. Will they outdo their previous dances?

Girls' Generation's new album will be made available offline on the 27th, and will hold their comeback performance on cable channel Mnet's "M Countdown" on March 6th.
