While ABC will be live streaming the Academy Awards online for the first time ever via its Watch ABC web and mobile platforms, you'll need a subscription to one of eight pay-TV providers, or have access to the corresponding accounts, in order to live stream the Oscars 2014 red carpet arrivals coverage and the whole show.

The service is available only in ABC's eight owned-station markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and Fresno, Calif., Variety reports.
