Charlotte is coming off its season-best four-game winning streak, will now have its toughest three straight games of the season. The Bobcats will battle OKC, Miami and Indiana in their next three.
"It can't get much tougher," guard Kemba Walker, who finished with 11 points after missing 12 of 15 shots Friday, told NBA.com.
Keven Durant had 37 points in the 113-107 victory over visiting Memphis on Friday. He made 10 of 15 shots and all eight of his free-throw attempts after halftime to help the Thunder hold on after they carried a 16-point lead into the fourth quarter, which almost slipped away.
"You never take it for granted," Durant, averaging an NBA-best 31.6 points, told NBA.com. "We learned a lesson after losing three in a row. It's tough to swallow, so it's good to get a W."
This will be the second and final meeting of the season between these two teams. In the first showdown, back in December, the Thunder won by four points. It was a low-scoring game, which OKC scored 85 points and was led by Durant. It was the first game without Russell Westbrook and Durant dropped 34 points, dished out six assists and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Al Jefferson missed that game and with no Kendrick Perkins, this game could be won and lost for the Bobcats in the paint with the star center down there, who averages 20 and 10.
