Rajon Rondo Birthday Party Escapade Has Been Solved, Says Danny Ainge; Celtics President Insists His View On Rondo Didn’t Change

Rajon Rondo is  the only one left among Boston Celtics' Big Four that won the 2008 NBA championship. Ray Allen has departed for the Miami Heat while Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are now with the Brooklyn Nets. The last two left while Rondo was injured, which meant that the premier point guard will see mostly unfamiliar faces once he returned to Celtics' training. Because of the great bond between this Big Four, many assumed that Rondo isn't happy anymore with his current team. That he might hate it playing alongside Kris Humphries and Gerald Wallace whom he had an altercation with a season before.

This rumor got even louder a week ago when the four-time NBA All-Star reportedly skipped his team's game against Sacramento Kings to celebrate his birthday in Los Angeles. This news has Celtics fans thinking, is Rondo not happy anymore with the team? Is he not cooperating because he wants to get traded?

While the issue has already been solved by the management few days after, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said he also talked to Rondo to discuss things. He didn't clarify whether the 28-year old player received a fine but he insisted that Rondo 'learned' from it.

"It was between Rondo and I and I learned some things that I didn't know and we had a lot conversation about it and I'm satisfied with it," he told the Globe. "He learned from it, too. Let's move on."

"I have no idea. I don't think so. It certainly shouldn't. It doesn't change my perception of him at all."

Ainge is also mum whether it is a wrong move from Rondo or not.

"Whether it was a mistake or whether it wasn't a mistake, I think is in question," he said.

"Second of all, if those that want to assume that it was a mistake, leaders make mistakes. All leaders make mistakes. That's just part of it. That doesn't disqualify them as leaders. Leaders learn, too."
